Meet the Founder
Aletta Parry
Founder & Director | CB Spa Consultancy
Aletta Parry is the Founder and Director of CB Spa Consultancy. With over two decades of experience in the spa and wellness industry, Aletta has held leadership roles in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments, specialising in spa and wellness operations, team development, strategic consulting, and business optimisation.
A qualified Somatologist, Aromatherapist, and Reflexologist, Aletta holds a Level 6 Diploma in Somatology – giving her both the technical and operational depth to advise on every layer of a wellness business.
Her career began aboard luxury cruise ships, where she spent seven years immersed in the global wellness arena. She initially worked as a therapist and slimming and detox specialist, consistently ranking among the top retail performers fleetwide. Before being promoted to Spa Director – where she led multidisciplinary teams across international voyages for five years – Aletta completed intensive management training in both London, UK, and Miami, USA. This global training equipped her with the leadership and operational expertise required for the demanding role ahead.
Her time onboard offered immersive, hands-on experience across all aspects of the wellness environment, including spa therapy, hair and nail salons, fitness and personal training, acupuncture, and medical aesthetics – providing her with a rare, 360-degree understanding of integrated wellness operations within a high-performance, international setting.
Upon returning to South Africa, Aletta continued to grow her portfolio by managing high-end destination spas, before stepping into executive leadership as General Manager for two leading spa and salon software companies, a journey that spanned nine years. She later went on to lead a national skincare and slimming brand, broadening her expertise in product development and commercial strategy.
Today, Aletta partners with spa and wellness businesses to refine operations, build strong brand foundations, and empower teams through practical training. She is also a respected judge for the prestigious Les Nouvelles Spa Awards, a position she has proudly held for eight consecutive years, affirming her role as a trusted voice in the industry.
